-Mobile chipping stations for the production of high-quality chips-
The high-performance range of mobile drum chippers by Rudnick & Enners enables the professional and economic chip production for the use in conventional wood firing or biomass heating and power plants.
Based on decades of experience in the construction of wood chipping machines, Rudnick & Enners offers individual solutions for a wide variety of applications. Due to its compact design, the series MTH (mobile drum chippers) is perfectly suited for the installation on launch vehicles and can be used for many purposes. The continuous development and close cooperation with the plant operators leads to user-oriented and demand-oriented concepts.
Our portfolio contains four basic types with various feed cross sections. The model series starts at a trunk diameter 400 mm and has been further developed for the feed of hard wood trunks of a diameter of up to 900 mm.
All models are characterised by a compact and robust design enabling a wide variety of applications due to the many possible model variations. This again ensures a high utilisation ratio and availabity of the machines – a decisive factor for efficiency.
Depending on the application, the chipping stations can be installed fix on a launch vehicle or designed in form of a mobile multilift frame or a tandem axle trailer.
All series are equipped with powerful Diesel engines and are driven independently of the launch vehicle or towing vehicle respectively. Required powers of 206 kW (280 HP) - 450 kW (612 HP) guarantee high throughputs at low operation costs.
Technical Specification:
While machines mounted on a hook lift or lorry are fed via a tiltable feed table or chain chain feeder mounted at the side, machines mounted on a tandem axle trailer can also be fed via an entry bunker with robust plate conveyor mounted in longitudinal direction. After inserting the material in the feed are a of the machine by aid of the grab, the material is guided towards the resizing rotor by aid of a specially designed feed system. The rotor is equipped with easily changeable resizing tools which can be machined and re-used several times. The required chip size is achieved by aligning the feed speed and rotor speed in connection with a downstream screening basket. Depending on the dimensioning, chip sizes of 6 mm (e.g. for small firing plants or preliminary pellet stages) up to 100 mm (e.g. for large firing plants), are possible in one single work step.
The discharge of the chipped material is realised by a pivotable blower with throw control or by belt conveyor or troughed chain conveyor. The produced chips can be discharged into provided containers, boxes or trailers respectively. Alternatively the discharge can be effected via a pivotable belt conveyor. The installation and design of the belt conveyor can vary according to the requirements of the operator. Even designs with installed intermediate bunker for the storage of the produced chips on a three-axle trailer with steered axles are possible.
