FE + NE Metal Detection - without separation -

A metal detector serves to find metals in bulk good. Metal detectors are often installed in the feed before hackers. A metal body entering and altering the magnetic field of the detection device is measured. The same happens when the metal body leaves the magnetic field again. In case the two adjustable thresholds of the measured signal are exceeded, an alarm is generated. The alarm can trigger an optical and/or acoustic signal as well as generate a control signal. When utilising the detection device in front of hackers, the control signal stops the hacker feed which can be restarted via push-button after removal of the metal body. The good to be detected shall be guided within the metal-free zone of the device over a non electrically conducting material (wood or plastic material).

A metal detector hence avoids significant damage to e.g hackers due to metal bodies in the material to be conveyed.
