1. Separation by detection:
NE materials as Cu, Al are detected in the material flow and separated during operation. This process technology is one of the most cost-efficient possibilities of NE separation. A disadvantage is the withdrawal of small fuel charges together with the detected NE metals. Advantage: most cost-efficient solution for NE separation.
2. Separation by eddy current separator:
With the eddy current principle, the NE parts are thrown over a threshold while the material flow is transported further. The result is a separation of the non-ferrous metals similar to the FE separation by drum magnet or overbelt magnet. A disadvantage are the high investment costs in connection with the necessary upstream screening, dosing and FE separation technology.
