On 18 September 2020, the Holz-Zentralblatt published an article about Rettenmeier's newly built pelleting plant at the Slovakian location of Liptovský.
The Rettenmeier company was founded by Josef Rettenmeier sen. in 1948 and developed from a trader of wood for mines and paper with a sawmill into a company with six sawmills in three countries (Germany, Latvia, Slovakia). The main products are sawn timber, profiled timber, DIY assortments and solid structural timber – in future pellets will be added to a greater extent. At the Slovakian location of Liptovský Hrádok, a pelleting plant designed, built and installed by Rudnick & Enners has already been put into operation; in Ramstein, the second of four planned will follow.
